About
Kristina
Hi and welcome! I'm a marriage and family therapist working from the lovely Mount Davidson Manor neighborhood in San Francisco, CA. I provide therapy services for children, couples, and families experiencing struggles related to parenting, childhood behaviors at home and school, and past trauma that is affecting current relationships.

My journey as a therapist began in 2011 when I began working with children and families through different non-profits that support families that have experienced trauma and/or abuse. In 2017, I shifted gears a bit to open my own in-home preschool (Little Robles Bilingual Preschool) and have gained more experience and knowledge about the challenges parents face in parenting today.

Outside of the therapy room and classroom, you can find me going on hikes, reading, and enjoying San Francisco's wonderful parks with my husband and dog, Baxter.
What you can expect
I believe therapy is about the relationship and human connection. You can expect to find a warm, comforting environment where you can have hard conversations when you're ready to have them. Sometimes those conversations are going to be uncomfortable and scary but through a real, genuine connection, struggles become easier to bear. I will support you by listening to the hard things that no one wants to talk about and holding it for you until it doesn't feel that difficult anymore.
I believe all the answers you're looking for are already inside you; sometimes they're just buried right out of reach and need a little guidance to come out. That's where I come in. I've seen how hard parenting and relationships can be. Sometimes old, forgotten wounds can pop back up throughout life's changes. I will help you and your family express their needs and feelings in a way that will help everyone feel heard and understood by focusing on emotions and communication between all the family members.

I believe healing takes time and patience. Together we will collaborate on goals and treatment expectations. There is no maximum amount of sessions as each person's healing process is unique to the person and family.

This important work is done through humor, building a strong relationship, finding the strengths and resources you already have within you, and open, authentic communication. I am able to provide therapy services in both English and Spanish.
